The American University in Cairo The Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) at the American University in Cairo (AUC) was established to help Egypt face the challenges of sustainability. It links and integrates different parties to be part of an ambitious and comprehensive offensive for sustainable development. The work of CSD is facilitated by a wide network of partners, students, supporters, and enablers, which are national as well as international actors and represent a large range of sectors. The Center for Sustainable Development is unique in its integration of all the AUC schools and research bodies to develop innovative, creative and achievable green solutions for the challenges facing the sustainable development of Egypt and the region. The interconnected nature of the ‘sustainability challenge’ is at the heart of the CSD’s work.
AlMofid Foundation for Development and Human Resources 


Al-Mofid Foundation for Development and Human Resources is a non-profit, nongovernmental organization founded in 2007. Al-Mofid is an  focuses on enhancing the situation of informal areas by developing the capacities of other NGOs, addressing critical needs of the area such as literacy, education and public health issues.

Al-Mofid plays a critical role in the project through developing the participatory model by bringing together the various stakeholders with the schools and the project team. 


Rowad El Ghad for Local Society Development 

Rowad El Ghad is a community driven NGO that focuses on developing the capacities of schools within informal areas including Boulaq Al-Dakrour. They depend mainly on funding from local donors and contributors that want to help in the development of the surrounding areas.
